Notice of planning application – Lime Kiln Quarry

Mells Parish Council has received a planning application (2018/1560/FUL – Lime Kiln Quarry, Frome Road) for:

Change of use from recycling centre to caravan holiday park with ancillary facilities including a two-storey central amenity building, manager’s accommodation, storage areas, car parking and a new entrance road at Lime Kiln Quarry, Frome Road

The application will be discussed at an Extraordinary Meeting of the parish council on Thursday 2nd August at 7.45pm in The Barn – all are invited to attend.

Full plans can be found on Mendip District Council’s website or at Frome Library.

The Parish Council has obtained an extension until 16th August 2018.

Superfast Broadband – is here!! (Mells)

Connecting Devon and Somerset (CDS) has informed us that fibre connections to cabinet MELLS 3 are going live. Most homes and businesses at the postcodes below will now be able to connect to superfast speeds via this cabinet and residents in these areas should contact their provider to get upgraded.
